Sales Associate - Gift Shop

Primary Function:

Responsible for assisting the Manager, Gift Shop, in merchandise sales, display and inventory. Assists in overseeing volunteers who handle sales and transactions.

Responsibilities:

Handles sales and display of merchandise, assists customers with purchases and helps with general upkeep of Gift Shop.

Assists in overseeing the volunteers' daily handling of sales transactions, via cash register and proper use of credit card and/or account charges. Opens and closes shop.

Unpacks and process merchandise and takes care of magazine display and returns.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications:

A High School diploma and more than six months job-related experience of equivalent is required.
