We are hiring this position for our Antaya division:
In your daily job you will:- Develop, apply and maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action using 8D, 5 whys & fishbone diagrams.
- Serve as the primary quality assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a customer liaison for customer complaints.
- Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
- Perform containment and certification activities.
- Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
- Develop, execute and analyze quality reporting measures.
- Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
- Assist in training equipment operators or other staff on validation protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
- Perform internal quality system, manufacturing process, and product audits.
- Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
- May compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities.
- Review statistical studies, technological advances, or regulatory standards and industry trends to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control.
- Participate in internal and external training programs to maintain knowledge of validation principles.
- Required to have an understanding and working knowledge of automotive industry requirements and tools, such as IATF 16949, and Core Tools, APQP, FMEA, MSA, etc.
- Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ability to read and write technical specifications and reports.
- Proficiency in company‑related and external systems and databases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively with internal/external personnel, customers, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in operating office technology and equipment.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Multi‑tasking and prioritization to meet time‑sensitive deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
Manufacturing Engineering; or closely related technical field. - Minimum of three (3) years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with process control quality tools.
- Familiarity with statistical control methods in problem solving.
- Experience with record‑keeping, reporting, and compliance (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP).
- Ability to read and write technical reports and programs.
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in English.
- Proficiency with computers and office applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) highly preferred.
- Overnight domestic travel (20%).
- Some international travel (less than 10%).
