The Herff Jones
Jewelry Manufacturing team is looking for a Quality Supervisor to join our HJ Family.

Here’s How You Will Make an Impact:
  • Ensure that all products meet or exceed established quality standards, driving customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
  • Lead initiatives that reduce defects, improve first-pass yield, and minimize rework, contributing to cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.
  • Serve as a key liaison between production, engineering, and customer service teams to resolve quality issues promptly and effectively.
  • Promote safety and compliance across all quality-related activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory and corporate standards.
What You Will Do On A Daily Basis:
  • Supervise and mentor a team of quality inspectors and coordinators, ensuring consistent application of quality standards.
  • Conduct daily audits of production processes and finished goods to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Review and analyze quality metrics such as First Pass Yield, scrap rates, and corrective action status; develop action plans to address gaps.
  • Lead weekly Corrective Action Committee meetings and ensure timely closure of open issues.
  • Investigate root causes of quality failures and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Communicate quality performance and findings to all departments through reports, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of training, audits, and incident reports in compliance with corporate requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and process changes.
  • Respond to customer complaints and quality concerns, ensuring thorough investigation and resolution.
  • Ensure team members have proper tools, training, and resources to perform their roles effectively and safely.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to quality processes.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation and follow-up on findings.
  • Drive employee engagement in quality initiatives through training and recognition programs.
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements to maintain best-in-class quality practices.
What You Will Bring the Table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a production environment with a focus on quality control.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective actions, continuous improvement).
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage a diverse team across multiple departments.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and delivering 100% quality.
  • Physical ability to navigate the facility, perform inspections, and handle occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
