Automated Business Solutions, a fast paced, family‑owned company founded in 1992, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead our finance operations, oversee HR, and partner directly with the President/CEO on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. With 90 employees and steady growth, this role is central to maintaining our financial health and supporting our long‑term vision.
About the RoleThe Director of Finance oversees all financial operations across multiple entities, manages a team of four (including HR), and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting. This leader will guide budgeting and forecasting, maintain banking and tax relationships, and ensure strong internal controls. The role is hands‑on, especially with month‑end close and accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a finance team of three Finance Specialists plus HR.
- Oversee all accounting functions, including AP, AR application, payroll oversight, and general ledger accuracy.
- Manage month‑end and year‑end closings in E‑Automate; support Quick Books for subsidiary companies.
- Maintain and monitor cash flow reporting; review regularly with the President/CEO.
- Partner with leadership on annual budgets, forecasts, and company‑wide financial goals.
- Coordinate with external tax accountants and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage banking relationships and support financing needs.
- Participate in strategic planning, including evaluation of growth opportunities and potential M&A activity.
- Ensure HR operations run smoothly, including compliance, benefits administration, and employee support.
- Maintain and improve internal financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.
- 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience (flexible depending on candidate strength).
- Experience in a multi‑entity environment preferred.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting systems; experience with E‑Automate and Quick Books is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growing, family‑owned business.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with executive leadership.
