This position reports to the Chief Medical Officer and leads clinical strategy and program development within PCHC’s primary care services.
Position OverviewThe successful candidate will foster cohesive collaboration among medical clinicians to achieve exceptional clinical outcomes and patient access.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor teams of physicians and clinicians across PCHC’s primary care locations in Providence
- Develop and implement clinical strategies that align with PCHC's mission and goals
- Oversee quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes
- Collaborate with Chief Medical Officer on organizational strategy and growth
- Drive clinical program development and redesign based on data analysis
- Provide direct clinical care at 0.2 FTE to assist with vacation coverage when possible; participate in on-call rotation and provide coverage as needed
- Board Certified Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or similar primary care emphasis)
- Current MD/DO license in Rhode Island
- Three years of progressive experience in a physician leadership role
- Five years of clinical experience
- Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership roles, coaching and developing physicians
- Experience using metrics-driven approaches to analyze healthcare data and drive clinical strategy
- Ability to maintain hospital privileges in accordance with PCHC policies
- Commitment to ongoing professional education and certification as required
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations within a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape
- Maintains a sense of humor, impeccable bedside manner, and professionalism
