We are partnering with a well-established and respected construction organization to identify a driven Senior Staff Accountant with strong GAAP fundamentals and hands-on experience supporting project-based accounting functions. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in fast-moving, job-costing environments and is looking to deepen their exposure to WIP reporting, project financials, and multi-entity construction operations within a stable, growth-oriented organization.
This role is well-suited for a detail-driven, technically strong accountant who is eager to play an impactful role within the financial operations of a growing construction business. Candidates with backgrounds in construction accounting, public accounting, or general ledger-focused roles are strongly encouraged to apply.

Team-oriented environment that values accuracy, accountability, and transparency - Compensation: $75,000–$95,000 annually, based on experience
- Support daily accounting operations across multiple construction projects and legal entities
- Maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close deliverables
- Assist with job costing, WIP schedules, revenue recognition, and project margin analysis
- Monitor project costs, commitments, billings, and change orders
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at both the project and company levels
- Support audits, reviews, and compliance reporting
- Partner with project managers and leadership to track budgets, job profitability, and cost trends
- Prepare financial reporting for leadership and operational teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience; construction or project-based accounting strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with WIP reporting, job costing, revenue recognition, or multi-entity accounting environments is a plus
- Proficiency with accounting software / ERP systems (construction platforms a plus)
- Strong reconciliation skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
