Registered Nurse; RN - Charge Nurse; 2nd Shift

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Nurse (2nd Shift) at Miller's Merry Manor. This role is responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift, following the Comprehensive Care Plan, and assisting the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record. You supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.

• Provide nursing care for patients on your shift according to the Comprehensive Care Plan.
• Assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record when needed.
• Supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.
• Tracheotomy care skills as required.
• IV skills including central, PICC, midline, blood draws, and TPN.
• Wound care knowledge and ongoing assessment of patient needs.
• Monitor medications and potential side effects.
• Demonstrate leadership and sound assessment skills.

• Currently licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.
• Successfully complete pre-employment process and screening.
• Pass the physical examination required for gainful employment within the facility.
• Professional manner and appearance.
• Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures.
• Administration of medication, potential side effects, treatment administration, and familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to resident care.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices and the physical, psychological, social, and medical needs of residents.
• Ability to supervise and lead others and to follow written and verbal instructions.
