Position Description
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to join the Audio Visual Team in Warsaw, IN or Blue Ash, OH.
General PurposeThis role supports Legrand | AV’s Health, Safety and Environmental programs to ensure operations minimize environmental impact and provide a safe, incident‑free workplace. The Manager leads development and implementation of EHS programs, trains managers and employees, analyzes data to identify trends and implements corrective actions.
Duties and Accountabilities- Apply EHS practices to develop, implement, and manage processes and systems, creating best‑in‑class culture.
- Communicate the EHS vision and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor federal, state, regional, and local safety and environmental regulations for impact and effective application within the manufacturing sites.
- Manage and report on all environmental operating permits.
- Develop policies, programs, and implementation strategies for Da‑lite EH&S.
- Collaborate with Da‑lite teams to ensure EHS requirements are implemented.
- Provide leadership to achieve the EHS vision, partnering with AV management.
- Conduct site risk assessments and coordinate risk reduction strategies.
- Implement and maintain EHS training program, including identification of training requirements and coordination of training sessions.
- Implement Legrand EHS business and corporate processes and systems.
- Support site needs with regulatory inspections or audits.
- Maintain record management and retention policies to comply with regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
- Audit all US‑based Da‑lite operations and assist with corrective actions as applicable.
- Identify risks associated with Legrand contractors on Da‑lite premises.
- Create reports to assist with compliance of environmental/safety regulations and sustainability goals.
- Initiate and assist with the creation, development, and implementation of processes and procedures.
- Support compliance by maintaining privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non‑compliance, and adhering to applicable laws and company policies.
- Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries.

Job Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, oral presentation, and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver training presentations.
- Ability to operate/work in a high‑growth & entrepreneurial environment.
- Proficient with personal computers, internet, and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook).
- Team player with ability to leverage additional resources as needed.
- Broad knowledge of environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations (OSHA/EPA/NFPA).
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing, coaching, and collaboration skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently to find solutions.
- Function in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Make sound decisions consistent with standards, policies, and law.
- Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Possess a high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Sciences or a related technical degree with five (5) years of professional EHS experience; or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Experience in the application of EHS management systems.
Job Requirements
- Must be available for extended, varied work hours based on business need.
- Professional certifications (CSP, ASP, CHMM).
- Basic knowledge of sustainability (CSR).
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or 45001.
- Regularly required to sit and perform coordinated movements of fingers for keyboard data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Work takes place in a general office environment and a regular shop assembly/distribution center environment (no air conditioning).
- Steel‑toed shoes required for this position.
- May require regular ground travel to other company facilities.
- Long‑distance or air travel as needed – not to exceed 20% travel.
