The Oracle Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s Oracle ERP system. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and national contracted Oracle support, ensuring seamless coordination and resolution of system‑related issues. The Oracle Administrator supports accounting functions by maintaining system integrity, troubleshooting application issues, and ensuring accurate documentation of Oracle processes and functions, especially those tasks that fall outside the scope of contracted support.
This hybrid position requires occasional travel to the Administration building located in Warsaw, IN. Candidates should be able to commute when necessary.
Duties/ResponsibilitiesBelow are the primary duties and essential functions of an employee in this position. While not all tasks may be performed by every employee in this role, all employees are expected to perform related tasks as needed. - Administer and maintain Oracle environments including databases, applications, and integrations.
- Monitor system performance, conduct routine maintenance, and monitor patch application/testing. Maintain test scripts as needed.
- Ensure high availability, data integrity, and security of Oracle systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for national contracted Oracle support services.
- Provide technical support, coordinate escalations, track issue resolution, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Develop and maintain internal processes for vendor interaction, including documentation of support workflows and escalation paths.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Oracle system configurations, workflows, and support procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to financial workflows, reporting, and data accuracy, working closely with the accounting department.
- Identify and document tasks and responsibilities that are not covered by external Oracle support.
- Ensure documentation is regularly updated and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Occupational Exposure Risk Classification:
The normal work routine involves minimal exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues. - The normal work routine has a moderate ergonomic risk for repetitive motion impairment.
- The position may require a minimal amount of physical exertion (bending, lifting, twisting) in the work area.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Oracle system administration or enterprise application support.
- Experience supporting Oracle Financials or similar ERP modules.
- Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, database management, and system integration.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and active liability insurance.
- Satisfactory results from criminal background check.
