Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be supporting integration and commissioning efforts for a high-volume automotive manufacturer in northern Indiana. This position requires strong hands‑on experience with Fanuc robotics, body applications, and special means build. The successful candidate will play a critical role in programming, touch‑ups, commissioning support, and quality collaboration during pre‑commissioning and launch phases.
Responsibilities- Develop, modify, and optimize Fanuc robot programs for body shop applications.
- Perform robot teaching, touch‑ups, and recovery in active production and pre‑commissioning environments.
- Configure robot frames, tools, payloads, and TCPs to meet process and quality requirements.
- Support rapid program adjustments during special means build.
- Support robot cell start‑up, offline system work, and commissioning activities.
- Troubleshoot robot alarms, motion issues, and sequence ladder logic under tight timelines.
- Provide on‑floor support during peak programming and commissioning periods.
- Collaborate closely with Quality teams to resolve process issues.
- Perform touch‑ups and refinements to improve weld quality, part accuracy, and repeatability.
- Support containment actions and fast‑turn engineering changes during builds.
- Coordinate with controls teams to validate I/O, interlocks, and basic handshaking.
- Follow all safety procedures during programming and floor support.
- Work safely in active manufacturing and commissioning environments.
- 2 – 5 years of experience with robot setup, troubleshooting, and/or programming.
- Proficiency with Fanuc, including Spot Tool+ & V9.40 for the R30iB Plus robot controller.
- Willingness to work onsite in Warsaw, IN, 6 days per week.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Fanuc DCS, including SAFE I/O Connect, User Model setup, CPC/CSC Zone setup.
- Automotive body shop experience.
- Fanuc Certification.
- Be part of a major EV automotive launch supporting a brand‑new OEM with 150,000+ vehicles already on reservation.
- Work on one of the largest Fanuc robot integration projects in the U.S., involving the installation and commissioning of 375+ robots.
- Take on high‑impact robotics work, including programming, touch‑ups, troubleshooting, cell start‑up, and quality improvements.
- Gain hands‑on experience across special means builds, prototype phases, and full plant commissioning, playing a direct role in production readiness.
- Enjoy contract stability with a 6–7 month project, plus potential opportunities to roll onto other major OEM projects being bid on.
- Earn strong compensation with 1.5× OT, with consistent 6‑day, 12‑hour shifts for high weekly earnings. You will be paid weekly.
- Work with advanced Fanuc technologies including Spot Tool+, V9.40, body shop applications, and optional DCS functionality.
- Collaborate with a large team of 50+ robot programmers, quality engineers, and controls specialists in a high‑performance environment.
- Contribute to launching a brand‑new automotive manufacturing facility, offering a rare opportunity to help bring an entire plant online from scratch.
This project will take place onsite at a new facility in Warsaw, IN. The project duration runs until early November 2026. There are two 12‑hour shifts (6 AM - 6 PM, 6 PM - 6 AM) six days a week. You will work alongside several other robot programmers.

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.00/hr.
