Job Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for leading vehicle, platform, or major system programs from concept through launch and production. This role owns overall program timing, cost, quality, and manufacturing readiness while coordinating cross-functional internal teams and managing Tier 1 supplier performance to ensure successful program execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end program execution for a vehicle, platform, or major subsystem from concept through production
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the master program plan, including milestones, deliverables, and launch readiness
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, and Regulatory functions
  • Lead program reviews, gate reviews, and executive-level updates
  • Serve as the primary interface between the OEM and Tier 1 suppliers, managing timing, deliverables, and performance
  • Track supplier APQP/PPAP status, tooling readiness, and launch milestones
  • Partner with manufacturing plants to ensure process readiness, capacity planning, and tooling availability
  • Support pilot builds, pre-production builds, Start of Production (SOP), and launch ramp-up activities
  • Identify program risks and lead mitigation and recovery plans
  • Manage change control and assess impact to cost, tooling, suppliers, and launch timing
  • Support program cost tracking and alignment to vehicle targets
  • Oversee launch quality, early production issues, and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with OEM standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines
  • Support warranty risk mitigation and production stabilization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in automotive program management, engineering, manufacturing, or launch roles
  • Experience working in an OEM environment or closely supporting OEM vehicle programs
  • Strong understanding of vehicle development, manufacturing processes, and supplier management
  • Proven ability to manage complex timelines and lead cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting vehicle launches or major system programs
  • EV, battery, powertrain, body, or chassis system experience
  • Familiarity with APQP and PPAP processes
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills
