HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking and Multi-Drop – Warrington, Cheshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver based in Warrington, Cheshire to join our well-established client. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.

Shifts:

Monday – Friday AM starts between 04:00–06:00 PM starts between 18:00–20:00 Rates of pay:
• Days: £17.39 per hour
• Nights: £18.39 per hour Benefits:

Your duties as a HGV Class 1 Driver will be:
• Trunking work, depot-to-depot, with occasional store deliveries
• Operate and drive Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all goods are loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required Essential

Skills:

The skills required as a HGV Class 1 Driver are:
• Valid UK Category CE Licence
• Minimum 6 months' experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
• Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills Desirable

Experience:

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial Training Provided:
• Driver assessment must be completed prior to starting
