HGV Class 1 Driver; Pass

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Warrington.

Free training provided.

We are taking new drivers.

Morning, afternoons or nights of your choice across Monday to Sunday with various start times available, average shift length of 12 hours.

Please note that there will be a £2 uplift on below rates between 23th of November till 20th of December.

• AM: Monday - Thursday £16.81 / Friday £17.37 / Saturday £17.93 / Sunday £18.22 (Rolled up holidays).
• PM: Monday - Thursday £17.37 / Friday £17.93 / Saturday £18.49 / Sunday £19.05 (Rolled up holidays).
• Nights: Monday - Thursday £18.01 / Friday £19.05 / Saturday £19.61 / Sunday £19.95 (Rolled up holidays).

Warrington, WA5.

• Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

• Full training and support for new pass drivers.
• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety‑first mindset.
