You will be a key member of our North West Hub Workshop, maintaining a modern fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including heavy goods vehicles (HGV), light commercial vehicles (LCV) and electric vehicles. The role is permanent, full time and offers a competitive salary with overtime, holiday, pension and a range of benefits.
Working Hours- Full time – 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks)
- Rotating 3‑week shift pattern; week 1 & 2 : 06:00–14:00, week 3 : 13:00–21:30
- Saturday and Sunday 1 in 3 weeks (1 Saturday in 3 weeks and 1 Sunday in 3 weeks)
- £39,715 per annum plus shift allowance of £87.58 per week when working the 13:00‑21:30 shift
- Weekend supplement:
Saturday £52.10 per shift, Sunday £104.20 per shift - 22.5 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays), rising with service and option to purchase more

- Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair on HGVs, trailers and mechanical equipment
- Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles
- Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in a fully equipped workshop
- Support a team effort to keep a modern fleet running efficiently and sustainably
- Qualified mechanic – IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent
- Advanced level vehicle technician experience working on a wide range of HGVs
- Full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience
- High working standards – pride in work and effective job completion
- Flexible to service demands – support the team wherever necessary
- Flexible shift rota – willing to support the team where necessary
