Location: Warrington (1 Time Square, WA1 2NT
)

Salary: £30 per hour

Duration: 3 Months

Working Pattern: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Join us for an exciting opportunity as an Adults Social Worker within the First Response Team at Warrington Borough Council. This locum position offers £30 per hour on an initial three-month contract. What you will do
  • Screen and triage adult social care referrals to ensure effective and timely service delivery.
  • Complete Care Act 2014 assessments and Carers Assessments, tailoring support to individual needs.
  • Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and make Best Interest decisions in line with legislation.
  • Manage safeguarding screenings and Section 42 enquiries to protect vulnerable adults.
  • Support Continuing Healthcare (CHC) processes while working within the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983 frameworks.
  • Manage short-term caseloads, collaborating closely with families, carers, and partner agencies.
  • This role offers the chance to work within a preventative model, promoting independence and wellbeing for adults across the community.
