Responsibilities

  • Managing the preparation accuracy and timely delivery of customer quotations.
  • Ensuring pricing proposals are completed in line with company standards, client requirements and profitability goals.
  • Working closely with service and Sales operations teams to gather information, clarify specifications and provide customers with competitive and professional quotations.
  • Maximising aftersales ad‑hoc revenues and margin through the production of professionally presented and targeted quotations covering (but not limited to) ad‑hoc repairs, wheel & tyre replacement, accident damage & misuse, PPM contracts, chargeable work arising from service / from Thorough Examination, chargeable modifications, chargeable retrofits.
  • Co‑ordinating with service engineers, controllers, supervisors and Regional Service Managers to maximise the effectiveness of service quotations ensuring revenue and margin opportunities are optimised.
  • Generating off‑hire damage rectification quotations in conjunction with rental control contract administration workshop and field service functions.
  • Continuously monitoring outstanding quotations with customers and liaising with appropriate personnel to obtain a customer order number where necessary.
  • Negotiating a commercially viable price acceptable to customers and in line with margin guidelines for Linde MH UK.
  • Utilising effective negotiation closing strategies with each customer to obtain customer order and maximise quotation conversion.
  • Developing on‑going customer relationships to ease the negotiation of quotation closure.
  • Conducting each transaction with external and internal customers in a professional and competent manner consistent with maximising customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business revenue and profit growth for the business.
  • Undertaking this role in compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Performing other duties commensurate with the salary for this position as management may from time to time ask upon request.
