Overview
The Diocese of Chester is seeking to recruit an Interim Ministry Support Officer who will provide operational delivery, administrative coordination and consistent pastoral support across ordained ministry pathways, particularly discernment, IME Phase 2 and clergy transitions, under the strategic oversight of the Directors of Ministry.
The role will provide additional capacity across key areas of the team’s work during a period of review and development, maintaining continuity in core operational support while the Ministry Team aligns its structures and ways of working with emerging diocesan strategy and priorities.
Responsibilities- Provide operational delivery, administrative coordination and pastoral support across ordained ministry pathways, particularly discernment, IME Phase 2 and clergy transitions, under the strategic oversight of the Directors of Ministry.
- Provide additional capacity across key areas of the team’s work during a period of review and development, maintaining continuity in core operational support while the Ministry Team aligns its structures and ways of working with emerging diocesan strategy and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to collaborative ministry, with the ability to work well within a newly reorganised and highly motivated team.
- Proven ability to undertake detailed work involving planning, process and organisation, including meeting specific deadlines.
