Yard Operative

Overview

We are looking to recruit a Yard Operative who will be responsible for general yard maintenance at our distribution centre in our Warrington depot in Appleton. The role is a permanent full‑time position working 40 hours a week – Monday to Friday 10am‑6pm.

We offer an hourly pay rate of £11.74 per hour.

• Washing the trailers and cleaning the HGV's
• Sweep and clean the yard to ensure it is free from litter, debris and standing water
• Gritting the yard during the winter months
• Complete any other cleaning within the yard/warehouse as requested
• Conduct general yard maintenance
• Use a counterbalance to move and stack empty pallets
• Work within the health and safety requirements of the site

• Physically fit as this is a demanding role
• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work
