An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Senior Therapy Assistant to work within the Surgical, Respiratory and Vascular therapy team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
You will work alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Assistant Practitioners, and be a member of the wider MDT. We will offer support, training and development opportunities. This role includes working across the Respiratory and Surgical wards.
This post is for 22.5 hours.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will assist the qualified therapists in the team by delivering a range of clinical and non-clinical duties to provide routine therapy and ensure the delivery of high-quality care across the surgical and respiratory wards.
You must have appropriate skills to communicate with patients, carers and the wider MDT. Some clerical and housekeeping duties are involved in this post.
Previous NHS experience is essential although role specific training will be given. There is a system of competencies specific to the role of the Senior Therapy Assistant to be completed.
