Hours:

37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Contract:

Permanent, Full-time, Office based An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in Birchwood, Warrington. This role is ideal for someone confident preparing accounts up to trial balance and supporting the full month-end process. You'll be involved in producing management accounts, leading on reconciliations, and handling a broad range of duties including VAT returns, payroll, and WIP reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparing monthly management accounts
* Posting journals including accruals, prepayments, and corrections
* Completing control account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payroll, including HMRC submissions
* Supporting year-end statutory accounts
* Liaising with external auditors
* Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns
* Overseeing transactional finance processes
* Completing WIP reviews and reconciliations
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting with accurate financial data
* Providing insights and analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making Key

Skills:

* AAT qualified, part-qualified CIMA/ACCA, or qualified by experience
* Strong understanding of transactional accounting and month-end processes
* Confident working to trial balance and preparing management accounts
* Proficient in Excel, including lookups and pivot tables
* Analytical, detail-focused, and highly organised
* Proactive and comfortable working independently within a busy finance function
* Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders Benefits:
