These roles are based from Warrington (HQ) with limited site travel and offer long-term pipeline exposure across nationally critical infrastructure projects.

The Programme

You will be working on one of three live compressor station upgrades under a multi-year national gas transmission framework.

  • Contract form: NEC4 Option C & Option E
  • Scope: EC&I, Civils & Fabrication

This is a commercially complex, change-heavy environment with significant opportunity to influence cost strategy during detailed design ahead of physical delivery.

The Role – Senior Quantity Surveyor

Reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of one live site and be responsible for:

Contract Management (NEC4)
  • Early Warning notices
  • Compensation Event preparation and assessment
  • PMI evaluation (cost/time impact)
  • Payment applications & certification

  • Managing high volumes of change during design phase
Subcontractor Management

  • Monitoring performance against cost & programme
What We’re Looking For

This opportunity suits commercially mature QS/SQS professionals who can operate independently in a high-change NEC environment.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
  • Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience
  • Infrastructure / Utilities / Energy / Industrial project background
  • Strong forecasting & reporting capability
  • Comfortable managing change at pace
  • National Grid / Gas / Utilities framework exposure
  • Experience with electronic contract management systems

Working Arrangement
  • Based from Warrington HQ
  • Hybrid working model (3 from office / 2 from home)
Package
  • Competitive basic salary

Why Apply?

This is a strategic commercial role within a rapidly expanding gas infrastructure division. With construction starting next year, there is a genuine opportunity to shape the commercial controls and influence delivery before site activity escalates.

If you are an NEC-heavy QS or Senior QS looking for a stable Tier 1 environment with limited travel and long-term programme exposure, this is a strong opportunity to step into a nationally significant infrastructure framework.
