A leading Tier 1 engineering contractor is seeking three Senior Quantity Surveyors to join its rapidly growing Gas Infrastructure division, delivering a national compressor station upgrade framework.
These roles are based from Warrington (HQ) with limited site travel and offer long-term pipeline exposure across nationally critical infrastructure projects.
The ProgrammeYou will be working on one of three live compressor station upgrades under a multi-year national gas transmission framework.
- Contract form: NEC4 Option C & Option E
- Scope: EC&I, Civils & Fabrication
This is a commercially complex, change-heavy environment with significant opportunity to influence cost strategy during detailed design ahead of physical delivery.
The Role – Senior Quantity SurveyorReporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of one live site and be responsible for:
Contract Management (NEC4)- Early Warning notices
- Compensation Event preparation and assessment
- PMI evaluation (cost/time impact)
- Payment applications & certification
- Live forecasting & CVR reporting
- SAP / cost system alignment
- WIP & cost-to-complete analysis
- Identification and mitigation of commercial risk
- Managing high volumes of change during design phase
- Commercial management of civils & EC&I subcontractors
- Application review & certification
- Monitoring performance against cost & programme
This opportunity suits commercially mature QS/SQS professionals who can operate independently in a high-change NEC environment.
- 5+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
- Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience
- Infrastructure / Utilities / Energy / Industrial project background
- Strong forecasting & reporting capability
- Comfortable managing change at pace
- National Grid / Gas / Utilities framework exposure
- Experience with electronic contract management systems
- RICS or working towards
- Based from Warrington HQ
- Hybrid working model (3 from office / 2 from home)
- Competitive basic salary
