EC&I Designer
Location:
Birchwood, Warrington, Cheshire (HYBRID)
Hours:
40 hours per week

Salary (Staff): £50,000 – £60,000 per annum OR Contract Rate: £50.00 per hour (Umbrella PAYE) – Inside IR35 (only)

The Role Reporting to the Senior EC&I Engineer, the EC&I Designer is responsible for producing high-quality EC&I design deliverables within single or multi-discipline EPC/EPCM projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce EC&I design drawings in line with project scope and industry standards
Deliver high-quality EC&I drawings on time and within budget
Work closely with the Senior EC&I Engineer to ensure alignment across disciplines including Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Process, and Automation
Participate in internal and external design reviews
Interpret deliverable lists and consistently produce drawings that meet required quality standards
Ensure all designs are client-ready and meet approval requirements

Single Line Diagrams
Loop Diagrams
Layout Diagrams
Instrument Hook-Up Diagrams
Cable Routing Drawings
About You:
Up to 3 years’ experience in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC environment
Experience working on single and/or multi-discipline projects
A solid understanding of EC&I principles and drawing production
Engineering Apprenticeship (minimum) or equivalent qualification
Daily working experience using AutoCAD
Experience with Plant 3D or Revit (preferred)
A results-driven mindset — committed to delivering drawings that achieve client acceptance
