Where will you be working? At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will join BGEN – one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience.
We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food & beverage industries to deliver next generation, value‑added engineering solutions.
- Work closely with the Business Unit Leadership Team to help drive shared goals and build strong, positive client relationships.
- Provide senior commercial guidance across all projects, ensuring healthy cash flow, strong revenues, and smooth management of contractual obligations.
- Review and negotiate contract terms to protect the business and support fair, balanced agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with procurement, support project managers, and contribute to estimating, risk reviews, and change control.
- Lead commercial negotiations, guide the bidding process, and offer clear, practical advice whenever project issues arise.
- Help develop new commercial talent, stay connected with Quantity Surveyors, and maintain open communication across all live projects.
- Manage insurance and bonding needs, prepare monthly commercial reporting, and ensure governance and policies are followed with care.
- Helpful knowledge of the M&E industry.
- Confident communication with people at all levels.
- Positive, customer‑focused approach that strengthens relationships.
- Strong IT skills suited to a modern working environment.
- Relevant degree and/or professional qualifications.
- Chartered status preferred but not essential.
