The role

As a Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you lead the design, integration and maintenance of high‑integrity EC&I systems across nuclear facilities. Day‑to‑day, you’ll

  • Design and deliver EC&I systems in regulated environments.
  • Apply nuclear safety standards such as IEC 61508 and BS EN 61511.
  • Work within cross‑functional teams on complex engineering projects.
  • Engage with regulators, clients and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Produce and review technical documentation including specifications and safety case contributions.

This is a full‑time role, working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expectation of three days on site. The role is based at one of our key locations – Moor Row (Cumbria), Warrington (Cheshire), Leicester (Leicestershire) or Bristol. Travel to customer sites may be required depending on project needs.

Essential experience of the Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer:

  • Design and deliver EC&I systems in regulated environments.
  • Apply nuclear safety standards such as IEC 61508 and BS EN 61511.
  • Work within cross‑functional teams on complex engineering projects.
  • Engage with regulators, clients and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Produce and review technical documentation including specifications and safety case contributions.

Qualifications for the Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (preferred).
