Job Description

By helping manufacturers comply with UL/EN/CAN standards, we enable products to enter the global market.
Join our Building Products engineering team where we expand our portfolio with a focus on UL market standards. Your role involves managing Fire Building Product projects related to certifications and performance testing.
Responsibilities- Determine project scope, develop preliminary plans, and set specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements by analyzing client input and product construction; may include travel for tests.
- Communicate with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures, convey project cost, negotiate completion dates and sample requirements, follow up on contacts, and resolve client concerns.
- Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing files, evaluating samples, and applying UL requirements; notify clients of non‑compliance or changes in scope.
- Coordinate laboratory activities, preparing data sheets and instructions for technicians.
- Manage concurrent project schedules dynamically to deliver objectives on time.
- Communicate project status and results to clients via frequent contact and reports; assist in preparing follow‑up service procedures.
- Integrate continuous improvement concepts into all aspects of the work.
- Assist in resolving engineering issues related to safety, quality, capability, capacity, speed or cost; report on variations.
- University Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Fire/Mechanical Engineering (graduates welcome).
- Knowledge of US test standards.
- Good command of English language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with customers and laboratory technicians.
