The role

As a Senior Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you lead the design, integration and maintenance of high-integrity EC&I systems across nuclear facilities. Day-to-day, you’ll:

  • Deliver high-quality administrative and coordination support across projects and teams.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting in line with company standards.
  • Monitor progress against deadlines and proactively resolve issues to keep tasks on track.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes.

This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week. Hybrid working patterns are available, with an expectation of three days on site. Travel to customer sites may be required depending on project needs.

Essential experience
  • Design and deliver EC&I systems in regulated environments.
  • Apply nuclear safety standards such as IEC 61508 and BS EN 61511.
  • Work within cross-functional teams on complex engineering projects.
  • Engage with regulators, clients and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Produce and review technical documentation including specifications and safety case contributions.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (preferred).
Security Clearance
