Role Project Engineer

Reports to Project / Design Engineer – Locker Heat shielding Ltd

Reports None

Location Director and General Manager of Locker Heat shielding

To assist the director in managing engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

To ensure the project milestones are achieved all supporting documentation is managed.

• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met and risks mitigated.
• Drive progress and prepare regular status reports.

• Create and modify designs using AutoCAD and Solid Works.
• Ensure designs meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the design office and across the wider group.

• Manage documentation processes for each contract using Microsoft Office tools and client based sites.
• Maintaining excellent audit trail – keeping accurate records of design changes, delays, approvals and project milestones.

• Level 3 qualification or higher in an Engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
• Accurate records of design changes, delays, approvals and project milestones.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to liaise with both client teams and Locker site teams professionally and confidently.
• Qualification in Project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid Works.

• Proven experience in project engineering or similar role.
• Commercial understanding, gained through work experience.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
