Integra Education is working with a Secondary School within Warrington who is looking for a teaching assistant.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support educators and students within our educational environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development and success of children, particularly those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working with young people, including children with disabilities or autism, and possess strong communication skills.

Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring is highly desirable.

Duties
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons and activities tailored to individual student needs
  • Support children with special educational requirements, including those with disabilities or autism
  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to help students achieve their learning goals
  • Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all pupils
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunch, and organised activities
  • Assist with behavioural management strategies and promote positive behaviour
  • Support the organisation of classroom materials and resources
  • Encourage student participation and foster confidence through personalised support
Skills
  • Experience working with children in educational or mentoring settings
  • Knowledge of special education principles and practices
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly advantageous
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children's development
  • Organisational skills to manage classroom resources efficiently
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
