Great Sankey High School was judged as ‘Good’ overall by Ofsted in March 2023. We aim to continue a journey of improvement and transformation, providing an exceptional quality of education and culture for all students, with the ambition that all will excel academically and as aspirational and inspirational young people. It has over 2100 students across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, with Barrow Hall College, a large sixth form integrated within the school.

The Executive Principal will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of their designated school (Great Sankey High School) and the leadership of school improvement projects across the Trust, as directed by the Chief Executive Officer. Specific wider Trust responsibilities will be determined based on the strengths of the postholder and the needs of the Trust. Responsibilities may be subject to change in the future depending on the developing needs of the Trust/Designated School(s).

The Executive Principal will promote the Trust’s culture and ethos and ensure the highest standards and expectations in teaching, learning, behaviour management and community engagement, in keeping with Trustees’ vision.
