Job Title:
Tenancy Sustainment Officer (Permanent)

Hours: 37 hours per week (to be worked flexibly in line with business needs)
Salary: £33,818.10 per annum (Plus Regular User Mileage Allowance)

Location: Based at Gadbrook Park, Northwich. / Working across core locations such as:
Warrington and Cheshire.

Flexibility to work from a variety of places including our office at Gadbrook Park, Northwich and home (dependent on the job role and the needs of our customer, our organisation and our teams)

The Opportunity

Weaver Vale Housing Trust has an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career with a great company. We are seeking a motivated, reliable conscientious Tenancy Sustainment Officer, to offer support and advice to customers who are struggling to maintain their Tenancy. This is a crucial role to reduce the risk of more formal action being necessary and ensure tenancy sustainment.

What

Will You Do?
  • Provide outcome focussed support to promote successful Tenancy sustainment
  • Provide support and advice to customers who are struggling to sustain their Tenancy to reduce the risk of more formal action being necessary and ensure tenancy sustainment
  • To assess individual customer needs and develop realistic and achievable actions plans in collaboration with customers, enabling them to address issues they may face, this includes but is not limited to poor mental or physical health, addiction, social isolation, unacceptable property or garden condition
  • Using a person-centred approach, adapt your response to both Neighbourhood and Customer need, to support wellness, thriving tenancies and communities and increase customer satisfaction
  • To follow the Trust’s Equality & Diversity, Health and Safety, Data Protection, Safeguarding and Customer Services policies.
Minimum Requirements For This Role
  • 3 GCSE’s Grade 4-9 / A* – C or above (Including English) or equivalent level of qualification or experience
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Effective communicator, with a wide range of individuals, who may have diverse communication needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a flexible team member
  • Ability to organise and adapt to varying workloads and balance competing priorities
  • Ability to manage confidential material and issues
  • Experience of managing challenging situations, demonstrating empathy, sensitivity and diplomacy
  • Experience of using professional curiosity to understand a customer’s needs.
  • Ability to sensitively challenge concerning/risky behaviours which may put the customer or the Tenancy at risk.

Due to the nature of the role, a full current driving license and access to a car is essential. The role will also require the successful candidate to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
