Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure
Location:
Warrington Northwest (with UK-wide project involvement)
Salary: £60k + car allowance + benefits + career progression
Role OverviewWe’re seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading UK civil engineering and enabling works contractor recognised for delivering technically complex infrastructure, remediation, and earthworks projects.
The business has earned a reputation for quality delivery, commercial integrity, and long-term client partnerships. As part of the commercial team, you’ll play a key role in managing project finances, contract administration, and cost control from tender through to final account.

Key Responsibilities- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of infrastructure, earthworks, and enabling works projects
- Prepare and review cost plans, tender submissions, and bills of quantities
- Conduct valuations, variations, and progress claims in line with NEC / JCT contract conditions
- Liaise with site managers, engineers, and procurement teams to maintain cost accuracy and control
- Assess subcontractor applications, variations, and final accounts
- Support forecasting, cost reporting, and project cash flow analysis
- Monitor change control, risk management, and early warnings under contract
- Contribute to commercial strategy meetings and client progress reviews
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and project reporting standards
- Degree or HNC / HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline
- Proven experience delivering civils, infrastructure, remediation, or earthworks projects
- Strong understanding of NEC contract forms and project cost management
- Excellent numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator, confident working with clients and site teams
- Proactive, organised, and commercially astute
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to attend project sites
- £60k salary (based on experience)
