Construction AssistantA leading UK house building and construction group is recruiting graduates to join its Graduate Construction Pathway, a structured 18‑month development programme designed to build future Site Managers, Project Managers, and Construction Directors.
This pathway is ideal for graduates with an interest in construction, project management, construction technology, quality, and on‑site delivery, who want broad exposure and a long‑term career in the construction industry.
Key Criteria- Education:
A relevant degree achieved at 2:2 or above - Eligibility & Practical Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (travel between sites is required)
- Willingness to work on site and adapt to changing locations
- Available to start in September 2026
The Construction Pathway is an 18‑month rotational programme, starting and finishing in Construction, with structured rotations across:
- Construction
- Health & Safety
- Technical
- Development
- Commercial
- Customer Service
- Construction (final rotation)
You will be based on site throughout the programme. Site locations are subject to change and will be within reasonable commuting distance of the Warrington area.
During the final rotation, transition discussions will take place, with the opportunity to move into a permanent Build or Construction team role on successful completion of the programme.
What You’ll Do- Complete all programme rotations, meeting learning objectives and performance targets in each area
- Take ownership of your development, actively seeking learning opportunities and feedback
- Integrate into multiple teams, supporting delivery and building strong professional relationships
- Learn directly from experienced construction, technical, and commercial professionals
- Contribute ideas to business initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activity
- Participate actively in the graduate community, including meetings, masterclasses, and development sessions
- Represent the business at careers events and act as an advocate for careers in construction
- Support and mentor future graduates joining the programme
- Work towards additional qualifications or accreditations where appropriate
- Demonstrate professional behaviours aligned to company values of integrity, care, and quality
- Genuine interest in construction, project management, and site‑based work
- Proactive, committed, and eager to learn
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced, operational environments
