Your responsibilitiesAs a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for…
- Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial elements of construction projects.
- Liaising with clients, consultants and design teams pre and post contract.
- Procurement of sub-contractors including enquires, cost analysis, pre order procedures through to order placement.
- Preparing monthly cost value reports and any ad hoc financial reporting as required.
- Valuing completed work, managing budgets, and overseeing payments.
- Collating effective records to support the final account and sub-contract accounts.
- Site measures for contract valuations, variations and sub-contractors.
- Setting targets and managing budgets for any WCL direct works.
- Control and manage all tender and contract information in line with the business systems.
- Undertake unaccompanied site visits to meet the needs of your role.
- Providing support and guidance to trainee and junior members of the commercial team.
- Liaising with and assisting as necessary other Company employees and management.
- Professional and confident with the ability to deal with clients, consultants and supply chain
- Minimum 5 years Quantity Surveying experience within a similar organization.
- Educated to Degree Level in relevant commercial qualification.
- Excels in working as part of a team and under own supervision.
- Organised, self-motivate and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Works well under pressure.
- Competent with IT systems, in particular the Microsoft suite of software.
- Ability to maintain high quality & attention to detail.
- Full UK driving license and transport.
