All About Food & Beverage – The Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent experience for guests by keeping products fresh, stocked, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. They lead food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing for all Food & Beverage areas.

Role Overview – As a Food & Beverage Expert, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain standards, execute processes, uphold food safety, and strengthen guest relationships. No two days are the same.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience and prioritize guest needs during all operations hours.
• Uphold and maintain Food & Beverage Standards.
• Execute processes including deliveries, replenishment, straightening, in-stock routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing reserve product.
• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies.
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.
• Work with vendors to proactively set and maintain sales‑floor merchandise displays and keep organized backroom space.
• Identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process them per Target’s policies.
• Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve guest issues.
• Execute adult beverage laws as applicable.
• Use and care for in‑store protective equipment and follow equipment control guidelines.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Maintain safety protocols, report hazards, and work in a safe manner at all times.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up, and Drive‑up while maintaining compliance.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you perform tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming manner to solve their needs.
• Thank guests and express appreciation for choosing Target.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

• Must be at least 18 years of age (Bakery only).
• Previous food or grocery experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and other technology as directed.
• Work independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and follow multi‑step processes.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established time frames.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
• Reliable and prompt attendance in a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to
  -10°F as needed.
• Work in environments where common allergens may be present.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
