Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Manager

Work Schedule:
This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in the office and working remote from home.
- Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of electrical engineering issues.
- Prepare technical and project reports that meet client requirements and S&L formats.
- Develop your career through peer‑learning and sharing knowledge with other experienced engineers via S&L’s systems of process and “Communities of Practice.”
- Travel to client sites as needed.
- BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
- 7+ years of experience designing Medium Voltage Power Systems.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
- Experience tracking project information (schedules, expenditures, status reports, client interface).
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Experience reviewing design drawings created by others.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- 7+ years of experience designing substations 138kV and above.
- Preparation of substation grounding, direct‑stroke shielding, and battery/charger sizing calculations.
- Physical layout and protection & controls experience.
- Ability to develop substation single‑line diagrams, relaying & metering diagrams, DC schematics, plan & section, grounding plans, etc.
- Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE/NEMA standards, including the National Electrical Safety Code (ANSI‑C2).
- PE license.
- AutoCAD experience.

$95,840.00 – $ plus potential discretionary bonus.
