Clearance and Passport Requirements
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, to access classified information.
  • Applicant must hold an active Top‑Secret SCI with Poly graph clearance.
  • Continued employment will depend on ability to meet customer security requirements, including providing a valid passport for site access.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center operates at peak efficiency.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
  • Serve as an expert technical resource reporting to a program manager, interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third‑party vendors.
  • Act as a focal point for all facility operations within a given data center and support operated data centers.
  • Maintain data center equipment uptime better than 99.999%.
  • Meet all requirements of CET1, including mechanical and/or electrical OEM factory‑specific training or experience.
  • Apply safe working practices using lockout/tagout, SDS, and good housekeeping methods.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, floor plans, construction documents, mechanical riser drawings, OEM operating and maintenance instructions, job specifications, and MOP/SOPs.
  • Use hand tools and test equipment to install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment under CET2 classified procedures and log activities in CMMS.
  • Assist a CET3/4 technician with classified procedures and transfer knowledge to other technicians.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs of the facility, documenting parameters such as power availability, temperature, humidity, and alarm status.
  • Follow site‑specific processes and procedures: procedure creation and review standards, incident/outage reporting, PM standards, CMMS usage, and SharePoint access to CE procedures.
  • Act upon all primary and secondary emergency operations plans (EOPs) and perform associated drills.
  • Operate or isolate MV/LV distribution boards, breakers, UPS, generators, batteries, STS, ATS, AHUs, DX units, chillers, evaporator washer systems, CRAC units, fuel systems, ASCO systems, BMS, EPMS, and fire alarm systems.
  • Navigate BMS and EPMS systems, interpret alarms, and perform controlled shutdowns/start‑ups.
  • If applicable, disable and enable fire alarm control panels and systems.
  • Maintain maintenance records as required by city, state, and EPA regulations.
  • Interpret building codes and local/federal regulations related to installations and apply them appropriately.
  • Identify required materials and parts for maintenance and procurement.
  • Utilize test equipment such as infrared scanners and vibration analyzers for diagnostics.
  • Diagnose heating cycles using gas pressure tests and other devices.
  • Diagnose refrigeration cycles using manifold gauge sets and temperature charts.
  • Understand power density and HVAC system capacities, including cooling and heat‑load calculations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Prefer:
    Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license, or equivalent.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information.
  • Desired / Advantageous

    Qualifications:

    Possess a Journeyman Electrician License, Journeyman HVAC license, or equivalent.
