Position Summary
A Retail Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process. Their duties include greeting customers when they enter the store, helping customers find specific products or showing them how to use them and ringing up customer purchases on the POS register.
Job Functions

(Every Customer, Every Time) process with EVERY customer interactionGreet every customer you make eye contact with, anywhere in the storeAnswer customers’ questions and provide information on procedures and policiesBe at your workstation on timeBe “customer ready” whenever you are on the stage/sales floorMaintain awareness of all promotions and advertisementsRecommend related items when appropriate and execute S.A.L.E.S. processKeep your area of responsibility neat, clean, stocked and priced properlyExecute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store managementAssist in the training and development of peersActively participate in daily huddle meetingsUphold merchandising and store cleanliness standardsOffer a carry-out if appropriateKnow the proper way to answer the telephoneBe alert for possible merchandise losses. Protect all company assets and report any missing or damaged merchandise to your supervisor.Address all safety concerns immediatelyAdvise store management of any pricing errorsAdvise store management anytime you say "no" to a customerTake initiative to learn product knowledgeTake initiative to learn selling skillsPerform other tasks as asked by store managementSales Floor Duties
Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, on , as well as, processing special ordersBe proficient at executing all store services, such as mixing paint, cutting glass, pipe and keysEnsure all shipments are packed out in its proper home and all overstock is awayParticipate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organizedRegister Duties
Ring each transaction accuratelyAlways ask for the Loyalty Card before you start a transaction, sign the customer up if neededCall for help when more than 3 customers are waitingKeep busy around the registers when you are not ringingProcess merchandise returns as neededPhysical Requirements
