At Gaithersburg Architectural Millwork, we bring custom architectural millwork and casework to life for clients across commercial sectors. If you take pride in transforming detailed shop drawings into flawless cabinetry, you will feel right at home on our fabrication team.

You begin by reviewing shop drawings, confirming materials, hardware, and dimensions. You plan your cuts, stage components, and move seamlessly from machining and laminating to edge-banding and assembly. As parts come together, you check fit and finish, collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve details, and prep completed pieces for installation. Throughout the day, you maintain a tidy, safe work area and uphold the standards that define our reputation.

• Build custom cabinets and specialty millwork directly from detailed shop drawings and specifications.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools with accuracy and care.
• Laminate, edge-band, and assemble components using dowels, screws, glue, and other fasteners.
• Verify quality at each step to meet fit, finish, and craftsmanship benchmarks.
• Partner with engineers, supervisors, and installers to troubleshoot and refine fabrication details.
• Keep the shop clean and safe while following all safety procedures.

• 3+ years in architectural millwork or custom cabinetmaking.
• Working knowledge of wood species, laminates, veneers, and cabinet hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with standard woodworking tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship.
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

• Familiarity with AWI standards.
