Fauquier Health s Medical/Surgical department is a combination unit consisting of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care, with 30 beds total between two floors. Our rapidly growing unit will elevate your nursing skills with a variety of patient cases and acuity levels, such as Cardiac, GI, Renal Failure, and Orthopedics.

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Performs a variety of administrative duties to support efficient operations, including copying, faxing, and mail distribution. Maintains accurate and organized records, logs, and files as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred (current high school students are exempt from diploma requirements).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 7 days of hire.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Virginia preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Fauquier Health is a 97-bed acute care hospital offering surgical services (including robotics), a 24-hour Emergency Department, extensive medical imaging capabilities, an Intensive Care Unit, and much, much more. The Fauquier Health system offers patient care for a variety of specialty services, including Orthopedics and Spine, a Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and robotic-assisted surgery. The fourth floor of the hospital is devoted to our Family Birthing Center and Intermediate Care Nursery.
