Responsibilities- As our Customer Service Representative
, you’ll work to help our patients check into the hospital. It’s fast-paced on occasion and you’ll be the person they rely on to answer questions during registration. You’ll build trust in these interactions by collecting information accurately and quickly but also by listening with compassion — not just to hear information, but to address their fears, concerns, and questions. - Be a confident multi-tasker who is a quick learner with technology, able to type and answer phones. No healthcare experience is required; we’ll teach you what you need to know.
- Work in a hospital/lab environment and be prepared to see illness and injuries.
- Follow the registration process, gather information across multiple programs, and input data accurately between physician and nurse check-ins; adapt to interruptions for emergent care.
- Provide compassionate service to patients who may be very ill or worried; ask follow-up questions and build rapport in real time.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet, assisting patients with registration and understanding variation in health plans and coverage.
- Be part of a team focused on career development and growth within R1 RCM Inc.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service experience
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $15.00 - $21.10 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
