Description
Description The Medical Assistant will provide general patient care in a physician office setting. The Medical Assistant will complete tasks as directed by physician and office manager to ensure seamless operation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Medical Assistant must be credentialed by an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) (within 6 months of hire). 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant.
Demonstrated phlebotomy experience. Current BLS.
Everyone who is offered a position with Fauquier Health is screened for tobacco use as part of the post-offer health assessment and screening. A screening result that is verified positive for tobacco use will result in the job offer being withdrawn.
Preferred:
Two years of college. 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse. Six months of phlebotomy skills to include blood draws.
