Medical Technologist I-Full Time-Weekend Nights-7:30pm-7:30am -

• The Medical Technologist (MT) I maintains current professional knowledge and skills to perform testing as a generalist in the Clinical Laboratory, including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, and basic microbiology and blood banking.
• Responsible for producing high quality, accurate test results in an efficient manner consistent with laboratory and hospital policy.
• Incumbent must also meet the departmental requirement of continuing education by attaining a minimum of 12 hours per year.
• This position is for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Nights-7:30pm-7:30am.

• Associates in Medical Technology or related science. Exception:
  Meets qualifications under the CLIA '88 Grandfather clause for High Complexity Testing personnel. Medical Technology internship at an accredited program. Successful completion of the MLT(Medical Lab Technician) certification(ASCP) within six months of hire. Demonstrated ability to use computers (email, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.). Able to read, write and speak basic English.
• Everyone who is offered a position with Fauquier Health is screened for tobacco use as part of the post-offer health assessment and screening. A screening result that is verified positive for tobacco use will result in the job offer being withdrawn.
• Preferred:
  Bachelors in Medical Technology or related science. 1-2 years generalist. MLS (Medical Lab Scientist) (ASCP).
