The Financial Analyst will be responsible for developing, generating and consolidating reporting to meet the weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines for the Special Metals Division which includes both operational and financial metrics. Other duties will include data extraction, report writing, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the reporting and consolidation for monthly and quarterly financial results to Division and Corporate as required, including ad hoc reporting requests.
- Responsible for the review and reconciliation of the financial results for the Special Metals Division from local ledgers to Oracle FCC.
- Develop and maintain processes for reporting daily and weekly financial and operational metrics in support of management team in accordance with corporate requirements and guidelines.
- Cash reporting and related consolidation and analysis for daily, weekly and monthly as required.
- Process Finance helpdesk tickets for user access provisioning.
- Coordinate internal reporting requirements across the Division.
- Prepare quarterly operational and financial review packages for the Division.
- Assist in the coordination and development of the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process in support of Division and Corporate reporting timelines.
- Gather requirements to design, build and implement standardized processes for account mapping from local ledgers to Oracle FCC.
- Complete special projects and participate in process improvement activities and related analysis.
Additional Responsibilities
- Be able to meet strict deadlines.
- Assist with development and implementation of Oracle Cloud applications (FCC, PBC, ARC) for Special Metals.
- Lead testing of business processes and system data.
- Document system processes and assist in user training.
- Assist with continuous improvement of division analysis and reporting.
Education and Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or a business-related field.
- 1-3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP platforms.
- Familiarity with Oracle Smart View.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud applications (FCC, PBC, ARC).
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and internet applications, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- High level of self-motivation to perform and succeed.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and use own initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
- Understanding of Financial Accounting Standards (FAS).
- Experience with financial management systems such as SAP, Great Plains or Oracle.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A self-starter that can work autonomously.
- Exceptional time management skills to complete significant tasks and projects in a timely manner.
