JOB PURPOSE
The Job Coach provides direct support, coaching, and training to individuals with disabilities at community-based job sites. This role focuses on job readiness, skill development, and workplace integration, ensuring a positive and supportive employment experience. This position is part-time and requires approx. 15-20 hours per week.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide direct, on-the-job coaching and support.
- Assist individuals in learning job tasks, workplace expectations, and social skills.
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and reinforcement.
- Support individuals in developing soft skills such as communication, time management, and teamwork.
- Monitor and document individual progress, challenges, and support strategies.
- Maintain positive relationships with employers, families, and support teams.
- Ensure individual safety and compliance with workplace policies.
- Advocate for reasonable workplace accommodations as needed.
All other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience and enthusiasm.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and positive reinforcement.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background check after employment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur’s license within 14 days of hire.
- Successfully complete employment-related training as directed.
- Ability to travel between job sites and community locations with RISE vehicles.
- Frequent standing, walking, and engaging in physical activities at work sites.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and perform team lifts when necessary.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including mornings and afternoons, based on program needs.
