Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant; PRN

This PRN position is responsible for providing patient care services, including assessing and managing patients following established standards and practices and within scope of practice. Works collaboratively with physicians.

• Include the initial and ongoing assessment of the patient's medical, physical and psychosocial status including:
• Completion of history and physical examination, consultations, progress notes in timely fashion as specified in the bylaws.
• Formulate the appropriate differential diagnosis based on the history, physical examination and clinical findings.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Participate in quality assurance review on a periodic basis, including systematic review of records and treatment plans

• Education
  :
  Master's Degree required.
• Experience
  : 1-2 years related experience and/or training in hospital medicine preferred.
• Certificate/License/Registration
  :
• Current physician assistant (PA) license from the State of Missouri required. Current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current Drug Enforcement Association (DEA) license required/BNDD.
• Stroke certification per specified specialty practice required (NIHSS).

• PRN, average of 2-3 shifts per month (a mix of 10-hour Monday - Friday shifts, and 8-hour Saturday and Sunday shifts).
