Job Overview
To be eligible for full‑time work in the summer you may be enrolled in only one summer class during Summer 1 and Summer 2, or take no summer classes but be enrolled in fall classes. The role requires 40‑hour work weeks with good attendance.
ResponsibilitiesWork as part of a custodial team cleaning dorm suites, apartments, public areas, kitchens, bathrooms, lounges, conference rooms, elevators, laundry rooms, and stairwells.
Duties include:
- Detail cleaning of dorms and apartments, using chemicals, broom, dustpan, vacuum, mop and bucket.
- Hard‑surface floor work with Roto, wet‑vac, finish mop and finish bucket.
- Carpet cleaning with Cadet, carpet extractor or host carpet extractor and compound.
- Stairs, hallways, walls, windows, light fixtures, and handrails cleaning.
- Kitchens, bathrooms, and lounge areas—app to appliances, cabinets, sinks, furniture, mirrors, trash, debug lights.
- Laundry rooms, elevators, and other facilities—washers, dryers, walls, windows.
- Potential mold removal from surfaces as required.
- Move furniture and equipment between buildings; lift up to 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching; transport of materials; use of computer and fine finger movements; oral and written communication; background check required prior to starting.
