Your Role as the Certified Medication Aide (CMA / L1MA) Memory Care | MissouriAmericare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Medication Aide (CMA / Level One Medication Aide – L1MA) to support residents in our Assisted Living Memory Care communities in Missouri.
In this role, you’ll safely administer medications under the supervision of licensed staff while providing hands‑on support with daily living activities. You’ll help maintain a safe, structured, and home‑like environment for residents living with memory loss, while offering support to families and visitors.
SummaryThe Certified Medication Aide (CMA / L1MA) is responsible for administering medications in accordance with Missouri state regulations while assisting residents with activities of daily living in a Memory Care setting.
This role functions as part of an interdisciplinary care team and plays a vital role in supporting resident safety, routine, dignity, and quality of life.
This Role May Also Be Known AsCertified Medication Aide (CMA), Medication Technician (CMT), Med Aide, Level One Medication Aide (L1MA), or Medication Assistant.
What You’ll Do- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in accordance with Missouri regulations.
- Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations.
- Monitor residents for medication responses and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility.
- Accurately observe, record, and report resident care, conditions, concerns, and food intake/output.
- Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff.
