Title: Installation Engineer – Electrical
Shift: Standard business hours; specific shift times may vary based on project needs and travel (up to 30%)
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 + OT annually, dependent on experience
Installation Engineer – Electrical Role:
Our client is seeking an Installation Engineer – Electrical to design, execute, and install electrical systems and equipment for induction melting and heating applications. This role ensures that all electrical installations meet rigorous safety standards, technical specifications, and relevant codes, combining design expertise with project management and hands-on installation work.
Installation Engineer – Electrical Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive electrical system designs, including schematics and detailed drawings
Select appropriate electrical components and equipment for various induction systems
Oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring strict compliance with design specifications
Conduct thorough testing and commissioning to verify functionality and safety of electrical systems
Manage electrical projects, coordinating effectively with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders
Ensure all projects are completed on time and within the allocated budget
Verify that all electrical installations and operations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, developing effective and lasting solutions
Installation Engineer – Electrical Reporting Relationships:
This role typically reports to an Installation Manager or a senior engineering leader within our client's organization. This position does not have direct reports.
About You:
Possess strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, power distribution systems, and control systems
Demonstrate proficiency in using electrical design software and performing complex electrical calculations
Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve electrical issues
Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders
Collaborate seamlessly within a team environment to achieve project goals
Plan, organize, and manage electrical projects efficiently
Ensure projects are completed both on time and within budget
Be able to travel approximately 30% for project installations and site visits
