Position: Stepdown Unit Nurse (RN) in Warren, OH
Deliver advanced nursing care as an RN on a specialized Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Stepdown medical-surgical neuro unit supporting patients with complex neurological conditions. This role requires clinical expertise and compassionate care in a fast-paced environment focused on neurological and multi-system medical patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with state practice standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and provide education
• Manage care for patients with multi-system organ failure and neurological conditions
• Serve as a patient advocate promoting safety, ethics, and quality improvement
• Provide support to patients and families coping with acute illness or injuries
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and utilize electronic health records system
• Respond effectively to changing patient conditions using clinical judgement and evidence-based practice

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Current RN license in good standing (state license or compact)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience, including at least 6 months in an acute care hospital setting
• Neuro experience required, with Dysrhythmia Exam certification*
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, PCCN, critical care courses, EPIC EHR training
• Strong clinical knowledge of neuro and multi-system patient care, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube and temporary pacing management
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend and holiday rotation
