Qualifications:

* Must meet all ESEA requirements.

* Paraprofessional Certificate, Associates or higher degree.

* Display ability in interacting with students and staff.

* Ability to physically assist students with impairments including lifting, escorting, and therapeutic physical restraint of students.

* Display empathy and advocacy for students.

* Display skill in working with students on social/emotional goals and objectives.

* Display skill in working with students in academic interventions.

* Possess the ability to provide delegated nursing services to students under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Duties:

* Work under the supervision of the Teacher and/or Intervention Specialist and provide teaching and clerical support.

* Assist classroom teacher in the general supervision of students and class activities as directed.

* Provide individual and small group support to students under the direction of Intervention Specialist and/or Teacher.

* Perform clerical duties as assigned by the Intervention Specialist and/or Teacher.

* Prepare, obtain and maintain student educational materials as directed.

* Communicate with parents, as directed.

* Collect and chart student data as directed.

* Provide attendance services including, but not limited to: delegated nursing services; hall escort/travel; lunch room and playground activities; entering and exiting buses/transportation; restroom/toileting assistance.

* Attending building meetings, workshop and conferences as directed by Intervention Specialist and/or Teacher, Supervisor, Principal.

* Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of The Warren City School Board of Education.

* Perform other duties as directed by the Intervention Specialist and/or Teacher, Principal, Special Education Supervisor, Director of Special Education or designee.

Salary:
Per Negotiated Contractual Agreement.

* Employment upon verification of proper certificate, and completion of Warren City School Districts pre-employment requirements.
